Dr. Zsofia Clemens holds her PhD, and is a nuerobiologist as well as a clinical researcher specializing in nutrition, nutritional therapy with regard to brain research. She is the senior researcher of the Paleomedicina Hungary Research Group where her clinic treats patients exclusively with what she calls the "true paleolithic ketogenic diet" (PKD). In her amazing research and how I found her on punned and research-gate, she has published over 40 research articles with more than 1100 citations.
I reached out to Zsofia because I loved how passionate you can tell she is with regard to helping us understand the benefits of meat to human physiology and biology. I was so thrilled when she agreed to come on so I could incite her as to her thoughts on an all meat diet from a female perspective and someone who has been doing it now for over 5 years.
Dr. Clemens goes into some brilliant concepts and research that she has done about everything from intestinal permeability and even insulin resistance. Plus, she fills us in on what her typical day of all meat eating looks like!:)
And she really helps us understand the importance of calling it a "meat-fat" diet too, recognizing that your fat intake is paramount with regard to the protein you are consuming.
Whether you are carnivore or not, this is good information from a wonderful source of information.

In the next few years, there will be an increase in eye issues and skin issues due to the 5G technology that is at our doorstep, on our smartphones, and blasting from cell phone towers. ** Please listen to this podcast with an open mind. While it may seem like a bit of a stretch, there is science-backed validity to what Dr. Baker is saying. I myself read the research (and still am) and was quite intrigued with all that Dr. Baker talks about in this podcast. I ventured on the protocol of all meat for sometime and after just one week eating all meat (highly quality wild game and grass fed, and wild caught meats only) my period came back. I hadn't had a period in 7 months, and this was the only thing I changed.
Did the meat heal me? I can't know for sure, but it certainly has made all aspects of my health improve, not just my cycle. My sleep is deeper than ever. My brain energy is clearer than ever. My favorite part is NO anxiety.
While it may not be something for everyone and it may only need be seasonal, it's definitely worth a listen in to Dr. Baker and his understanding of humans as carnivores.
Think it's unsafe or hokey? Think about this: If you didn't have a grocery store on every corner, and had to live in your man-made shelter in the wilderness or the woods, how would you survive in the winter? No vegetables grow in the snow, no fruit trees are bearing fruit. And you can't dig underground through the snow for tubers? What would you eat? Whatever you could kill. Meat.
This is why I ask that you take a step back from the dogma that we have been preached and listen with an open mind, simply wondering about the possibilities.
Dr. Shawn Baker is a man I have come to greatly respect. He is an orthopedic surgeon out of California. He is a 51 year old, drug-free world record holder in multi-sports, including the concept 2 rower. And he is one of the few doctors out there who prefer to treat their patients with lifestyle and nutrition medications rather than surgeries and meds.
